I joined Wood Mackenzie in May 2007 in the Gas and Power Consulting team. Previously I was on the graduate training programme as a management consultant at one of the big-four accountancy firms without a specific background in the energy industry which meant that the learning curve was very steep when I first started but extremely rewarding.
Since joining Wood Mackenzie I have worked across a wide range of projects and I have also been encouraged to develop in other areas of the energy industry and I have recently been given the opportunity to work across gas and power and downstream oil consulting splitting my time across both teams. This has allowed to greatly increase my knowledge of the energy industry within a relatively short space of time, furthermore working in small teams gave me the opportunity to develop at a faster pace and allowed me to get involved in every aspect of projects allowing me to also develop softer skills needed as a consultant.
Wood Mackenzie is a great place to be where hard work and dedication are clearly rewarded but where there is a very high emphasis on employee work life balance. The working culture and the people makes working at Wood Mackenzie a very enjoyable experience.
