I joined Wood Mackenzie in September 2005 as a Graphic Designer within the Marketing team based in Edinburgh. Before joining WoodMac I previously worked as a sales assistant selling computers and doing freelance design work after graduating from Robert Gordon's Gray's School of Art in Aberdeen with a BA (Hons) in Art & Design specialised in Visual Communication.
As part of the design team we provide forward-thinking design solutions for the business and manage all elements of our corporate brand identity. Our aim is to provide the business with the best possible tools to meet the client needs and expectations. As a result of this I work with people from across all sectors of the business and from around the world. I produce a range of work from images for the website to full exhibition booth panels. I enjoy my job because it gives me the creativity to design up-to-date solutions that will add to the growth of the business.
Wood Mackenzie encourages both professional and personal development. Since joining I have become part of the social committee that helps bring the balance of work and play within the Edinburgh office. I was also fortunate in being picked as part of a group that went to Uganda on a charity trip, building a house for under privileged children.
My future at WoodMac is exciting as we continue to develop new products and keep up with every changing industry we work in.
